Some Charlton fans have taken to Twitter after a question was put to them about the prospect of signing Jonathan Leko on a permanent basis, but they’ve decided to go down a different route.

While a few have actually taken the question into consideration over the on-loan West Brom forward, a couple of others have simply dismissed it and called for West Ham loanee Josh Cullen to be signed on a permanent basis instead.

Leko has two goals and two assists in 11 Championship appearances for the Addicks, but Cullen has quietly continued his fine form from last season having re-signed for the south Londoners back in the summer.

The Republic of Ireland international has been a key player for Lee Bowyer this term, making 11 Championship starts – one fan below said that the team couldn’t function in the same way without the 23-year-old.

It is telling of just how significant he is that, in what was meant to be a thread about 20-year-old Leko, a number of Charlton fans have taken it upon themselves to instead demand Cullen’s loan move be turned permanent.

Let’s take a look at some of the Twitter reaction…
