That means returning to full fitness as quickly as possible, with the 32-year-old already back on the grass. He has also been hitting the gym hard, with the South American saying on social media: “One more day of work, one less day of waiting.”

Neymar has spoken of gracing the 2025 Club World Cup, meaning that he will honour a contract that is due to run until next summer. After that, options will be mulled over – with a desire previously being stated to return to his roots at Santos.
